Says June https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_2066 I was going to build with the Kaby Lake but we will see I dont mind waiting till then as I have something to use in the meantime. Or unless its a bullshit post on Wiki IDK

According to that the Kaby Lake-X will have more PCIE-lanes than Sky Lake X, Kaby X limited to 4 cores I think but that's right up my alley since higher cores at least for right now does may not warrant the extra cost for gaming as most of the time the lesser core counterpart performs better gaming wise, I might do a 6 core however I feel some games that will come out this year might start to utilise more cores. But time will tell hopefully Ryzen will push intel release date. Either way, I am waiting for one of them to come out, the higher PCIE lanes interests me for dual GPU and Dual NVMe drives in raid

You are correct....for now. The x299 Platform will use LGA 2066 :)
