According to your own source, they shut down the site out of their own free will just before they were to testify. How is that censorship?

Quick summary of what happened (since OP didn't provide one):

Backpage is a Craigslist alternative website. You can post ads for thing on there. 

This website has an "adult" section which people would use to post ads for sexual favors. 

Apparently the government didn't like this (Craigslist has forced to shut down their adult section a few years ago) so Backpage got brought to court in several states. 

Among the chargers were things like how it facilities child prostitution, but the court found those charges to be false and that Backpage did not break any laws. 

 

But it seems like the founders of Backpage have had enough of constant legal battles, extra requirements on moderation of ads posted, special fees imposed and so on, and have decided to shut the website down. 

 

To me it doesn't seem like the did it voluntarily, in the same way a prisoner you torture doesn't "willingly" leak information. At some point people have enough of constant pressure and battles, and just gives up.

the world should just legalise prostitution, there is so much to gain out of it in the same way to legalised pot
