Custom Wooden Desk PC

Hi guys,

Just finished building my desk PC. The shape of the desk is inspired by the one Linus built.

I am not a professional carpenter or anything, just wanted to do this for me :)

The computer parts themselves are not new, but in time the GPU will be upgraded and water cooling will be added.

- i5-4670

- Gigabyte Z87-D3HP

- 2x4GB HyperX Genesis 1600mhz DDR3 Ram

- Sapphire Dual X HD7970 3gb OC

- Samsung 840 Pro 128GB

- Seagate Barracuda 2TB

- 2x AD Link 120GB SSD's, got the pretty cheap, just have a few games installed on them

- Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo with SP120 Quiet edition

- EVGA 750 P2 Platinum (originally a Be Quiet Straight Power 700w Gold, but failed 3 times, yes i'm that unlucky)

- 2x AF120 and 1x SP120 Quiet edition

Link to my Google Photos Album:  https://goo.gl/photos/K65gMXWNZpMoUx489

I'm open to constructive criticism :)

Hope you enjoy

I like the simple and elegant layout. The led fan looks like it might be annoying to the eye after a while though.

A few more closeup photos with the lighting would be nice.

Thank you! The fan is not as bright as it looks on the photos. The lighting is a USB LED strip that is usually meant for the back of tv's :)

Will add more photos when i take them with an actual camera, it might fix the lighting problem.

Have the same PSU on my HTPC that you have now (Seasonic 520W). Also failed on me, basically started making ticking noises :)
Seasonic immediately replaced it with a new one!

Mine's been running an OC'd i5 and a 770 for 3 years super stable.

Now with 1070, it's less power consumption, so yay I guess

idk

What cable extenders did you use?

As cool as that looks, I'd think the LED's would get annoying because they're in plain view.  Instead of a glow, you've got the lights shining directly at you.

I'm also curious, does the glass ever heat up? It's not exactly great for heat dissipation.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

Well, last night I was on the PC for 4 hours, the Led's didn't annoy me. They are not as bright as they look on the photos though. I'll take photos with my actual camera and not my phone, it will look better.

Also, there are 2 more intake fans in the front, where my legs are, air circulation is pretty good. Temps are excellent. Thanks for your comments! ?
