Made it look pretty because your budget can afford it.

Overclockable CPU should help nicely for video editing

16GB RAM is more than enough

Really quick SSD for Windows/programs, 2TB HDD for footage

GTX 1070 for rendering (killer for the price)

Very clean case, fun to build in

Solid power supply, you could get the 650M if you really want to futureproof it.

Windows is cheaper from Reddit but that's your call

edit: you could totally go cheaper if you wanted to, this is just a very premium build to fit your pricepoint

Hello,

So I'm planning to build a PC worth 1200 USD that could mainly handle music and video production, and I'm planning on using two monitors as well. Can anyone help me with picking out parts for this build?

Are you purchasing from US vendors? Do you care about size/looks?

Don't really care about size nor looks. And yes, I may consider purchasing from US vendors.

The peripherals and software is not included in the budget yet (planning to make it separate from the actual PC components). And yeah I'm hoping to use 2 monitors for multitasking.

Import tax is a biatch. Get it locally. You can look over at dynaquest or PCHub for pricing.

You can change the cooler to a Cryorig H7 if you can get a hold of it in PCHub. From what I heard it sells out pretty fast.
