low CPU usage when encoding? (Adobe Premiere Pro)

So i dunno how this works, but my bro is using my pc to render one of his videos at the moment. The thing is, i feel like my PC should be able to complete tasks like this faster?

i know CUDA acceleration is not enabled, but CPU usage also seems pretty low. any experts out here willing to help?

also, i have 32Gb RAM, why is it only using 7?

It only needs 7, it will only use how much it needs

 

Enable cuda, no reason not to

 

WHat files, what effects? Sometimes it won't use much cpu.

about 17 different video files from his DSLR he made into a timelapse, not too sure about the rest, but effects used are minimal. only a fade out at the end or something i believe.

 

i'll enable cuda once this task completes. don't really feel like starting it all over again because i need to close premiere to enable it

no you don't, just change a box a media encoder.

but you can't do that while it's encoding. plus, i don't think my GPU is in the officially supported list, so you have to edit a file and add it manually. (i believe, please don't quote me on that!)

they change the whitelist in new versions of premiere(what your running). 

 

what format are you exporting as?
