best case, power supply & GPU under $300

Mr noob

I'm looking to get a new case and power supply.

My plan is to take the PC I have right now, an acer aspitr ax3-100-ef10, it has an amd quad-core a10-5700 APU with Radeon HD 7660d graphics 1 tb hard, 12GB DDR 3, a dvd burn I've never used, wireless lan+ bluethooth. The motherboard does have one PCI express slot.

I want to put this into a new case and get new power supply (it comes with a 225 watt power supply, and the case is oddly shaped making it difficult to add a GPU). I want to do this so I can get a better GPU, I don't want to spend more then $300 on the case, power supply and card. On amazon I was able to find this power supple for $26 Canadian EVGA 500 W1, 80+ WHITE 500W, 3 Year Warranty, Power Supply 100-W1-0500-KR, along with this case Corsair Carbide Series 100R Silent Edition Quiet Mid Tower Case CC-9011077-WW for $68 canadian.
That would leave me with $200 to spend on my GBU, the GBU being the hole point of this upgrade. I was looking at this.

EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2GB GAMING, Silent Cooling Graphics Card 02G-P4-2951-KR

So my question is, what do be people think?? is that one of the better cards for $200 or less. Do you have a better idea. Or is this hole idea just bad??

If you look for a better used GPU, it might be an even better idea!

get a gtx 1050 ti or a gtx 1050. also i'm not sure if that psu is very good quality. i would suggest making sure its a reliable power supply that wont wreck your other components because of poor quality.

alright thats two people who say not a good psu, I wont get that one. However can someone help me understand why. It has 500 watt continuous power, and 40 amps on the rail. What am I missing that makes it such a bad SPU.

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&file=print&reid=384 read down where he talks about ripple suppression. now he does say it isn't a danger to your hardware but it also is still hard on your hardware to have inconsistent voltage going to your hardware specifically the vrm.
