Corsair 400C fans config problem! please help.

Correct, if you are talking about fans. Radiators will only work on the back and front.

Just wondering, is there a massive benefit of 140mm's over 120mm's?

More airflow in general. It would be better to have 3x120 fans though, which is possible in the 400c.

Yeah i read about that, but I want the basement bit there, apparently its has to be removed if you want 3x 120.

I'm pretty sure it only has to be removed if using a radiator.
