AMD Shenanigans at the Ryzen booth?

Or just wait? I don't really see the point in bitching about something that you know is going to be announced soon.

So you're new. I waited through 2016. How long exactly does one wait? New Horizons and no pricing. CES and no pricing. Intel had pricing on Kabylake months ago.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

You know I've been here longer right (four months more but still)?

Intel releases the same shit year after year, they are essentially in a status quo situation.

AMD has a brand new product line that they are still tweaking, chances are they still figuring out the exact product tier placement for each SKU since Kaby Lake just laucnhed.

We all waited through 2016, patience goes a long way.

So does offering your customer a product. Intel might be the status quo but they offer a product. I'm not going to wait another year just to be told to be patient.

AMD decided to start the hype, that starts the timer.

They said preferably by not the end of the quarter. Most are saying an end of February launch.

Then release the pricing. It's that simple. No rumors, no hype, pricing. I need to know if it's in my budget.

Chill, they will announce it when they are ready. I get a lot of people are excited but seriously, have some patience.

Problem is Kabylake is cheap, for now. Ryzen falls on its face and the price on Kabylake will jump up for months.  If the SR7 is 500 bucks I might be able to pull it off. 600 bucks no way.

So of I wait too long I'll lose the window on Kabylake.

They'll probably have several variants of the SR7 at various price points, it would be insane to only have three SKUs total (SR3, SR5, SR5). I'm thinking it's basically their version of i3, i5, and i7.

The current rumors are saying $350-600 with $500 being the likeliest for the top end.

That's the problem, rumors. AMD could just verify the cost of the top end. The X370 boards should be in the 150 to 300 dollar range.

I don't what to tell you honestly other than what I said previously. Let's just be happy their performance has made a come back.
