Do I need to be actively using the integrated graphics to install the drivers? I tried with a graphics card and it failed to even see it, should I switch to them and try?

hmm, weird, for me, they installed even though I wasn't using the iGPU on my 2500K (Actually I don't know why I installed now to be honest). I use a GTX 1070.

Actually never mind, I remember I had used the iGPU to post before. Yeah, you do need the iGPU working to install.

Hmm, that makes sense, I'll check my BIOS now to make sure it's on too, apparently the drivers need to be installed for display before the openCL run times will work which is a pain in the behind.
