edimax 150 mbs adapter

aries757

so i got a adapter for my new pc i build, and everything is fine, except my internet,

i don't use ethernet cables, not a option,

i am downloding the drivers right now, but any reason why it takes forever to download anything? (example, csgo took 3 hours to download, whilst on my old laptop with a 5900 rpm hd it took 40 minutes.

Yea your gonna want to get a new adapter cause there really isnt anything you can do for that. I would suggest a pci wifi card something like this

You will not see 150Mbps with the adapter. What kind of speeds are you actually seeing? In my experience with the Edimax 802.11n adapters, if you're in the same room as the wireless router expect to see ~50Mbps at most.

Have you personally used that adapter? I've read a lot of reviews and considered getting it (the AC1900 version) but I'm still on the fence.

I myself have not i was gonna get it but i got this instead and use the ethernet on it, and i also have the benefit of the extended wifi. Its also about 25-30 ft away from the router and is connected to the 5Ghz and i get great transfer rates
