A Solid State Hybrid Drive might be a good idea if your considering using just one hard drive at the moment. Here's a 2TB one on Amazon that I've used before that works well. Its a slight step up from your garden variety HDD

Upgrade that cooler you'll thank me later.

There are better option for cheaper, like the Deepcool Gammaxx 400

For a bit more, how about a beefy Raijintek Ereboss

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

No please not SSHD. Other people out here will tell you why not. SSD+HDD will be better.

Don't get an RX 480. The 480 (in my testing) got WORSE framerates in DX11 games (all games made in the last few years) than the 1060. If you play Vulkan games though, An RX 480 might be fine.

Ok, I'll save up more and get a better graphics card, and I'll get more RAM eventually. I'll also take a look at that cooler, thanks for the tip! But I'm going with the 7600k instead of the 6600k because the price difference is very small. I also do play to add an ssd eventually, but I want the higher capacity of hdd first.

what rx 480 right now is 5% slower to 1060 in older games. 15% faster than 480 in vulkin and dx 12 games

Yeah, but DX12 and Vulkan games are very scarce right now. imo, a 1070 would be your best bet if you had a flexible budget. The 480 will be left in the dust in a couple months.

Yeah no I totally agree. I just noticed he hadn't done so already, so I figured it may have been out of his budget to have the two drives, or just a single SSD.

You've gotta be kidding me. Who knows if this guy is getting PAID for this review? Their gonna tell you it's better than a GTX 1080 if they can sell it!

Do you really need 7600k?

Well I guess I don't need it, I could probably downgrade to a 7500 or even 7400, but I figured I'd go with that for decent future-proofing. I probably should downgrade though so I could get a better gpu without going over budget.

Yeah a GPU is more important for games.

I'd go for a slightly better graphics card, and an SSD. Try to go for a 240GB+, as they perform better.

I'd honestly get the SSD first, unless getting $50 for the HDD takes you a while.

16GB of RAM never hurts either.

Ew. For that price you can get a 120GB SSD (instead of the 8GB you get with this) and a 2TB HDD.

i'm not new to GPUs. Are you new to computers? AMD is all hype and NO performance. Did you watch AMD's livestream unveiling the RYZEN line of CPUs? and they compared it to a 6900k and it BEAT IT? and they said it was stock? well AMD lied. They UNDERCLOCKED that 6900k from 3.2ghz to 3. and you TRUST that brand? I've built MANY AMD and nVidia rigs.
