I just thought of this, wouldn't it be cool to have the option to suddenly move a post to Test Posts if you need to fix a thread or make major changes?

 

This would need a confirmation dialog so that people don't press it by accident.

 

And of course once in test posts, it would also be a great idea to have a button to make it move back to it's original location.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

This is same thing as with other moving of topics. Moving back from test posts is absolutely no. What if mod moved it there and you could just move it back? Moving it to there, well its not as bad as deleting and locking it by yourself. But you could still do some disruption by moving hot topic because you don't like how conversation is going.
