PC Shuts Off Randomly

this just happened about 4 minutes ago, and has happened before, ill just be playing games and watching a movie and black!. the PC just shuts off. what could it be?

Check your CPU temperatures while you do these activities

someone told me my psu was not a good one but didnt think anything of it. and im sure it does. had this pc for over a year now and this just started happening .

Get a better power supply, then, before it kills your hardware.

but what if thats not the problem, i think ill just take it in to my local microcenter

Maybe, maybe not, but if it's not meant for gaming, and you're using it in a powerful gaming rig, it's probably going to die at some point, taking your precious hardware with it, and worst case scenario, burn your house down. Don't cheap out on the power supply!

Could you post the complete specs (including the PSU model)? That would help greatly.

What you said spooked me lol, So i went out and bought a EVGA Supernova 750G 80+ gold. The power supply i had that was "about to burn my house down" was a Corsair CX750M 80+Bronze, Now i believe it was the power supply because for some reason i now have LED's that light up in my case that i have never see before :] My PC is quiet as its ever been, and i also noticed that i had my CPU radiator fans were facing eachother, so air was going to the radiator but not blowing it away. My CPU temps are now noticably lower which is a good thing. now i'm not sure getting another 750 watt was a goood idea but the 1st PSU was 60 something bucks, and this one was 150 and they told me "you can't go wrong with 80+ Gold". if you guys are still intrested i would love to take the time to list all my PC parts to see if you guys think everything is fine or if something needs to be upgraded.
