Posted December 30, 2016 Before someone points out that the Canon T5 DOESN'T have a mic jack, yes I am aware. I didn't realize it until a few weeks AFTER I bought it. What you should use is an external audio recorder, perhaps the Zoom H1. That is not dead which can eternal lie.
