Asus PCE-N53 wont detect 5ghz

So recently I brought a new router with 5ghz wireless capability https://www.asus.com/uk/Networking/RT-AC88U/ and I am not able to connect to the 5ghz network but able to connect to the 2 ghz network, even though my wireless card is dual band and has 5ghz capability so don't know why its not popping up under wireless networks

did you enable 5ghz in the router options ?

also dont forget 5ghz has less wide area than 2 ghz so you might have to be closer to your router

Yes 5ghz is enabled in my router options and it connects to my chromebook and my phone in the room my computer is in (with full bars) so I know range is not a problem it is just not popping up on windows

I tried downloading latest driver too but that didn't work
