Let's get right to it.

Here's my specs:

Asrock H87 Pro4

Intel Xeon 1230v3

GTX 970

32 GB RAM

Would it benefit me the most if I went and got a new CPU? Do the new CPU's require a newer mobo than what I've got?

My editing is very heavy, I edit an hour long videos with 4 videos in one, requiring a lot from the CPU. My Xeon can't fully handle it, and in Vegas I need to edit in Draft Half. Would a new CPU help the render times (rendering 1 hour with 4 videos in it takes 8 hours) and the preview editing?

I've got 300 € to spend.

Thanks.

You can't get anything much better than that Xeon. I mean, you could get an 4790k but it wouldn't be worth it for the benefits. I'd hold out for Zen, rumors are it might be launched at CES
