pre made vm or make ur own vm

so i wanna run kali linux on vmware. Aside from the hassle of setting up the ISO, is there any other advantage or disadvantage in using a pre-made virtual machine from kali.org over making a virtual machine using an ISO from kali.org?

i just use the livecd. I dont see any advantage to installing or using the VM clone because the mirrors are always down. It has been about a month since I saw a complaint about the mirrors and updating/installing software. If you do install it let me know if the mirrors are still broken.

I would recommend making your VM's and not downloading pre maid ones as people could have added their own software to it or tampered with it, usually best to set it up every time. But seeing as your using kali if your getting the VM from there site then it should be safe.
