Hello everyone!

So I have been lurking for a while and I have posted a first pc build a few years ago but it sort of got derailed by a move and unforeseen expenses. Well, I'm back at it and I've actually got the money this time!!

So, my budget is $1,000-$1,200USD

It will be used for mostly gaming with some photoshop work. I play just about every type of game.

This is what I have in my amazon cart at the moment (I'll look for deals after my picks are solid)

I'd like the build to be a blue/white theme.

CPU: Intel i5 6500

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170X (Any suggestions on a blue option?)

Case: Corsair Carbide 540 Cube (I know it's probably too big BUT I really like the look... ha)

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8gb DDR4 3000MHz

Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 500gb

Cooling: A few corsair SP series fans and a Corsair H100i v2 (again overkill but I like the look of these type of cpu coolers. I'm up for suggestions on that though.)

Power Block: I got nothing. Help please.

So, I am hoping this will be a build that will last me a couple years before needing upgrades. I also like how the Carbide case gives me a lot of room to have some fun with liquid cooling or adding more gpu's if I want down the road.

Thanks for the help guys!

you want blue?

@deXxterlab97

also. 6500 isn't exactly the best option for 1200 usd budgets, but it works - i would go for a 6700 non k or something like that - also, if you want blue, nzxt has a really nice case

@Garifuna- I included three 140mm blue LED case fans, so you can either replace the existing white LED fans in front and install one more in the back, or you can add them in with the white fans. However, I would not recommend two different colours of LED lighting. What I would recommend is, if you can, turning off the LEDs on the white fans if you can and keeping them on top while using the blue LED fans in the front and back.

That's true. I'm currently puzzling over the fan situation. The Corsair Air 540 comes with two really nice white LED 140mm fans. I included three blue LED 140mm fans, and the two colours aren't exactly going to work in tandem. Is there any way to turn off the LEDs on the white fans? They're good fans, so I don't want to recommend removing them altogether.

Do you have anything against the case? Other than raising the cost? I willing to listen to criticism from people who know what they are talking about.
