) Well im planning on building the second one (1000$)! But the problem is that I've never built a computer. So I'm searching for help to comprehend how to build it. I'll appreciate any help from you guys that'll make me build it appropriately. I don't want my PC to explode because I built it wrongly. Thanks for all the support!

i wouldn't get that 2nd build, mediocre psu, and there are better builds out there.

I would not use the Linus build guide. Even though it is Linus but many forum members reported some problems with it

Particularly the PSU. And something else

This would be a much better way spending 1000 ish

Even if you did it right chances that it would still exploded of the PSU. Yes. It will not really but for ahigh end build with a 1070 I would get something better

He didn't even correct it or anything. At this point Linus is just there so we can laugh at him and correct the people he's misled.

 

I am definitely not salty about any of his videos at all. In particular not salty about his terrible review of that Korean ultrawide.

i'm starting to dislike him(or at least his videos) more ever since that psu+disc drive blunder and that review on the ultrawide monitor. could have just ran low on an rx480 to test freesync, but nope lets completely ignore the existence of freesync and:

I disagree with the choice of EVGA 500B because the Seasonic S12II 620W is way way better and only $7 more.

You might be onto something with the Xeon though.

It's gonna last 2 years tops if it's used to game everyday. Not to mention could harm sensitive components towards the end of its lifetime.

the EVGA B1 is EVGA's counterpart to corsair's green CX, almost exactly the same. skip to 0:18.

So let me get this straight. Have you any experience with THIS POWER SUPPLY in particular? I have experience with PSUs all over the market. Question my reliability? I have built with CX 430M, CX 500, EVGA 500W, XFX P1 650S, SuperNOVA 650 G1.  Out of all of these, I have had the 430M and the CX 500 the longest. I have a 4690k OC to 4.0 and 2 960s in SLI on the CX 500 so don't tell me it isn't enough wattage or reliable enough. It works well FROM EXPERIENCE. I am recommending FROM EXPERIENCE. What experience do you have with this power supply hmm?
