Snow question

I just moved to a new house and there is lots of snow in my place (typical Canada, Tornto)

Anyway I know I need to clean the driveway where people walk in front and if you don't you get fined and smt

How about the area in front of the garage that leads to the street? I have no car. I did clean half of the place and it can fit a small car in front of the garage

The garage itself is very small. No car can fit inside so I see no reason to clean the whole place.

Cleaning it off entirely house potential 2 cars.

Should I be worried that I am a lazy fucker

Thats retarted that you have to clean where people walk for 1 of two reasons.

1. If you own the land people shouldn't be able to walk on it

2. If the Government owns the land they should have to take care of it, not you

But thats the way I think in Murica so idk. Not sure how canadia works

In mother Canada you get fined if your grass is too tall. So. Even though it's yours

Clean your driveway... you don't have to but you get some exercise.  Dress warm, it is freaking cold.

If the government takes care of it, you will be paying for it.  I would rather spend the 10 minutes to do it myself.

It doesn't tell me that I must clear my driveway to garage. It tells me I can get fined if I don't clear the sidewalk which is different, it's where people walk

No, it doesn't tell you that you have to clear your driveway  Now, exercise your deductive reasoning skills an try to figure out why it doesn't tell you that.

You must be new to CanadaImage result for snow canada 2015

That looks like a heck of a good workout to me.  I used to do 10% of my street sometimes (5-6 driveways), sidewalks and driveways of my neighbors.  As I grew up my neighbors got old, so I did theirs too.  I would turn down payment when they offered, my brother was more... enterprising.xD

I had a snowblower too, but did not use half of the time; depending on how lazy I felt.  If I had the time and used the snowblower I would go a lot farther down the street.

Sorry for late reply, was clearing up some snow. It was not 10mins

Anyway. I only have a shovel. Guess I am gonna do what LTT tells. Soon my window will be covered in snow lol

Driveway you just need to shovel a path clear to the pavement/concrete is the law, within 24 hours of snowfall.

- You should get those shovels that are easy on your back.

- If I were you I would buy a used sitting mower and fabricate up an enclosure and a plow or a spinning brush. Wire up a little stereo and a 12V heater you can buy from CrappyTire, and you are good to go. No freezing your ass off.

- You could also get an air blower, they are only good when little to no people have walked on the sidewalk. You could also get some heated clothing, or make your own. e-cig wire is all you need, about 50W is sufficient, buy a adjustable power resistor "pot".

Do you have door to door mail service?

Even then you got UPS and the like, also door to door people, charities, census people. So yes a good homeowner shovels the side walk edge to edge and a pathway up the driveway, up the pathway to your stairs, and sweep the stairs off too. Home owners insurance covers those slip and falls.

You should look into your city bylaws, and what your insurance policy dictates.

If the city has to come and shovel the snow for you its a few hundred bucks usually. They would have to get a call about your lack of common sense in not shovelling the snow. Or maybe when its -35C outside, and your home windows are smashed at 11pm because you pissed off a person that walks by there everyday, say hello to frozen water pipes. Or maybe your vehicles windshield is smashed and your tires slashed.

You would be sued on either a slip on the sidewalk or driveway, pathway, stairs due to not shoveling the snow in a grace period of time. Lazy people and businesses dont shovel their snow. Commerical/Industrial usually.

Injury Lawyers would know the common payouts of those. Just saying ouch is about $7500.

Are you saying I'm bad?

Charity? I don't usually keep cash so would be weird if those charities come up to me and ask debit or credit?

Thanks for letting me know that. I would sue that person instead for stalking me since I have no friends :(

Actually we do have bears. (Im in the mountains not the city). There isn't quality maple syrup though. Maybe you could come say sorry to balance it out?
