XFX GTR RX 480 VS EVGA GTX 1060 ACX 3.0

Hi guys

I'm in a bit of a hurry to replace my r9 280x. I have the choice between the xfx gtr 480 and the evga 1060 acx 3.0. They are about the same price (400$ cad with taxes and shipping). Which one should I go for? I know that the gtx is better on dx 11 games and the rx a little bit better in dx 12. I use a 1080p 60hz monitor.

Thanks for your replies

im assuming your looking at the 8gb/6gb models? I would go for the 1060 6gb over the rx 480 8gb, and the rx 4804 gb over the 1060 3gb.

According to the reviews i've seen , the xfx gtr 480 seems to be the better card in the 480 lineup .

With the newer drivers out now , the 480 is actually pretty much equal to the 1060 in dx11 now , and faster in dx12.Plus it has more VRAM.

Imo , get the 480

I would go with the 480, they are relatively equal in DX11 since the ReLive update and AMD still has a fairly large advantage in DX12 and Vulkan, in addition to that the GTR is one of the best if not the best 480 you can buy.

From what I have heard, the GTR is excellent.

I've got a 1060, and its quite fantastic. But I really don't think you can go wrong with either card

Going with either will be fine especially when AMD is almost equal to Nvidia in DX11 titles now :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
