the old crap on why pascal was delayed from memory. I'm not sure if they had a monopoly, but I do know they funded it for pascal, and it's why the fury beat it to market.

They done this with pretty much every generation of cards. Same with AMD. When the 390 and 390X cards released, according to your logic, the 390 wasn't new because it was a cut down 390X.
