should be more than enough. just saying that you can do 1440p. but be aware not all games support ultrawdie (most should)

I have an i5 6500, gtx 1060 6gb oc and 16gb ddr4

Will this be ok for 1440p gaming from medium to ultra settings at least 60fps?

thx in advance

Guess it depends on the game, don't expect to be running Crysis at 1440p with that card, the CPU won't affect you too much in terms of performance, i'd think you'd be able to run some older titles like Skyrim And Fallout NV and maybe some more modern title like COD or Rocket League

The GTX 1060 may struggle at 1440P it's designed to run games on high/ultra 1080P. To get a good 1440P experience you need something more powerful like a GTX 1070 (the sweet spot for 1440P).

If you can't afford a GTX 1070 then I would just get a 1080P monitor.

I think that would be possible. But watch some benchmarks.

My friend has an identical pc and runs his games at 4k just fine.

But you would have to spend some time with tweaking settings

Yeah.. It still runs a little bit like shit but medium setting should work on 1440p

But an altrawide 1080p would be a better purchase IMO

Personal recommendation: just don't get 29" 2560x1080, the PPI is too low. Meaning image is somewhat pixelated.
