There is a lot more to Windows 10 over Windows 7. You should discover more the OS. For example, did you know that you can send and receive SMS/MMS from your desktop/laptop? It communicated with your phone to make it all happen (works for Windows 10 Mobile and Android phones. No iPhone support, due to the heavy locked down OS). And also, more to come.

OP your poll doesn't make sense. When I ask a question the answer needs to fit the question :|

Like this;

Question: **************?

Yes <>

No  <>

Please adjust, my OCD is kicking up... O.o

You could ask;

Which is better Win10 with DX12 or Win7 with DX11? <-- that fits your selections better. :D

Unless you like windows 10's additional features then there is no reason to use it, frankly given how a lot of people are reverting back direct x 12 will likely be stalled, now under normal circumstance MS would just release a new OS early making this a less important question but they seem dead set on making windows 10 universal (though this is likely the reason it feels like an annoyance)

I use both, and I prefer Windows 7. Although, with some heavy tweaking, Windows 10 can be made pretty comfortable and generally satisfying. The exception to that is the control panel layout, and convoluted means to get the OS running as desired, or to change configurations. Windows 10 takes some steps backwards in clarity and straight-forwardness, IMO.

Windows 7 has Vulkan support, which accomplishes the same thing as DirectX 12. There may be some upcoming games that use DX12, but won't use Vulkan, but, generally, I think that we're going to see more games using Vulkan than those which use DX12.

If you go with Windows 10, then, since you don't like its default visual look (neither do I), you can install Aero Glass, a different Windows theme, and also Startisback++ or Classic Shell (or other start menu replacement).

To stop invcasive and unwanted data-collection by Microsoft in Windows 10, you can check out this guide, and also try programs like O&O Shut Up 10, and Spybot Anti-Beacon.

If you want to see my fuller view on differences between Windows 7 and 10, I have put it into a blog post, here (though I haven't updated it in a while).
