What size radiator do I need?

I am planning to do a custom water-cooling loop with GTX 1080 ftw Sli and an Intel i7 6950X 

 

my my question is do I need a radiator bigger than 240mm for Dual graphics card blocks and a CPU block?

yes for sure

 

Either grab a 480 with good fans, or 240 + 360 to give some head room

 

you could use a 240mm, but fans would need to be high and the rad would need to be thick, temps wont be great either

the general rule for custom watercooling is to have 120mm radiator space for every component + an additional 120mm. so you would need 2 240 or 1 480mm radiator to have ideal temps.

 

it could possibly also work with just a single 240 rad, but your temps will probbaly be worse than the stock air coolers on your cards.

Do you know what the largest size rad you can fit in the nzxt s340?

well, you can use a thick 280mm rad in the front i think, and an additional 120 or 140mm rad on the top. should be just enough for two GPU's and a CPU.

i don;t think so. you might need to modify it a bit for tubing or something, but that's all just the fun of custom watercooling
