6700k 4.6ghz @ 1.34v Normal Temps?

Inrix
Go to solution Solved by Thony,

Well according to Jay and Paul 1.35 is maximum they would ever go for 24/7 use.

70 sounds fine and if higher rpm on cooler dont cut it then u might want to go down to 4.5Ghz if you want lower temps.

Is this normal temps for a 4.6ghz oc on the 6700k with 1.34v while running aida64? I'm using a AIO but with low rpm fans so a bit less cooling but much quieter... Is it safe to run it at this temp?

80deg is on the high side, tone it down a bit or increase fan(s) speed

how does it behave in normal daily tasks?

Yea, was thinking it might be ok to run it at that since I dont do much premiere which is the only thing I know that pushes it to around 80 deg... Ialso just dropped the core voltage down to 3.3 and it just failed.... Ill reboot at 3.35 and see if thats stable.

Sorry for not answering before, Had to bump it back up to 1.34v, im using a h100iv2 but with custom fans, I could probably hit lower temps with the default ones but these are just too quiet to give up.

try and set up a push-pull config while maintaing same low fan speeds - might knock off just enough degrees
