Build for a Friend - need advice - £1,000 Budget

Aidanh1994

Hi all,

A friend of mine is looking to build their first PC and is looking to get some advice. Their budget is £1,000 and they primarily game and want to run games at ultra on a single screen.

I was thinking an i7 6700k with a 1070 and 8 to 16b ram. Unsure of what MOBO, Storage etc would be good for this budget.

Res is 1080, form factor probably ATX is best as it's his first build

What build do you think he could get with that budget?

Thanks,

Aidan

Well lets see what we can do with your budget, I maybe be able to fit a 6700k and 1070, what form factor of a pc do you want, MINI ITX, MICRO ATX, ATX, EATX?

1080p :) and ATX is fine, doesn't have to be small/big etc. It's his first build so ATX would be easier for him.

Should get all game at 60 fps or more with maxed out settings. Do you need monitor/os/peripherals?

NH L9i is bad even though it is a Noctua fan. 212 Evo will do better

Oh? Never knew that. That's very surprising especially for Noctua
