not bad, I5 will bottleneck but its good, if you can wait to mid january the Kabylake like of CPUs should be out, and maybe the 490 even, and maybe you could get some more preformance for your cash, but if you dont want to wait this is a pretty good build

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

I'd get a different PSU. You can get a 650W 80+ gold PSU for the same price ( Corsair RM650X). No reason to get such a low Wattage PSU, plus the Corsair is fully modular.

There are many other PSUs with 650-750W and 80+ gold ratings out there.

I wouldn't hold my breath for Kaby Lake. Incremental speed bump at best. if nothing else, wait til Kaby Lake launches and snarf up all the used 6700k's for cheap.

could be better value, the unlocked I3 is interesting and the I5 7500 will be better then the I5 6500 and probably about the same price

What monitor will you use with the computer? If it's a regular 1080p 60Hz screen you might as well downgrade to a GTX 1060 instead (unless you plan to get a 1440p monitor in the near future).

I would probably spend a little extra and get a 6600k and an OC motherboard (Z170 chipset) in case I'd turn to overclocking in the future (note that when that's the case you'll need better cooling and a better PSU, but there's no need to invest in that until the moment arrives and you want to start overclocking). It's a bit more expensive, but a worthwile investment.

Asus X99-A w/ BIOS 3402 | Intel i7 5820k OC @4.4GHz 1.28V w/ Noctua NH-U14S | 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 OC @2666MHz 12-14-14-28 | Asus Geforce GTX970 STRIX OC | EVGA 750 G2 750W | Samsung 850 Evo 1 TB | Windows 10 64-bit | Be-Quiet Silent Base 800 w/ Silent Wings | 2x Dell U2414H OC @72Hz w/ Display Port

Don't forget to invest in an Intel Tuning Plan if you're going to overvolt your K/X CPU

actually it was 550W, after that someone told to downgrade the psu.

I think I will just replace it to 550W
