So, I got a GTX 1050 last month, and dont have a monitor with a display port on it, So I had to get an HDMI to Display Port, it worked for like 4-5 days, Then quick randomly, I have no clue on how to fix this nor do I have any clue on why it stopped working so sudenly Almost seem as if the Display port isnt working, OR the adapter isnt working Im not sure though

Try using it one by one in single monitor config if it works.

You can bark like a dog, but that won't make you a dog.

You can act like someone you're not, but that won't change who you are.

Finished Crysis without a discrete GPU,15 FPS average, and a lot of heart

How I plan my builds -

Spoiler

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

Why not just use a hdmi cable if that's what you monitor supports?

Never buy cheap or badly rated chords, adapters, and dongles. It is worth it to buy a more expensive product on amazon that has good customer reviews. You will just end up wasting money on replacements if you buy cheap stuff.

I spent a little 80$ on the current Adapter I have

Because I want a dual monitor set up, and neither support Dvi-d or Display port

So I assume they aren't that great if a monitor. I use a dvi to hdmi cable. Works without any issues. For $80 you could have got another monitor instead of a adapter that seems faulty.

Well, one of my monitors only has dvi, the other only has hdmi, but i guess if you buy a new monitor it would have both displayport and hdmi, and most gpu's have like 2 hdmi and 2 display ports, so i dont see why you would need them. just think a little when you buy your gear...

Well if his doesn't have a dp then hes outta luck. Also no amount of thinking can magically put ports on the monitors. Dumbest thing ive ever heard.

I sure as hell ain't gonna buy new monitors every time a new display output comes out. Have four of the best 1080 gaming monitors of its time. I still use them over the latest and greatest 1440 monitors that's collecting dust.  Even though my old monitors don't have dp, I'll stick to dvi and adapters.
