I have ios 6 on it (I clicked update on the General Tab). The keyboard is unusable, the home screen is a pain because scrolling takes forever.

The drive is probably corrupted. Mine has no issues.

Nothing you can do about it though because you cant restore.

I don't understand why people buy any "flagship" phone anymore. They're around $800-1200 which is just ridiculous.

I just bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 for $236 AUD  ($178USD) and it's got awesome specs.
I could buy a similar priced phone every year and that's equivalent to buying a flagship every 4 or 5 years.

That thing is basically an iPad 2! You have to recognize the relative power of these devices and the OS versions you are talking about......

Although the life of computers are much longer, It still doesn't make sense for me to have to buy another pricy apple product every year, when I have a 10 year old Q6600 PC that is still good today, 10 years later.

I think the main reason is because it's Apple. A lot of the people who own and use an Iphone couldn't tell you the difference between a lightning connector and a USBc connector. They simply aren't interested in tech.

Apple has built a reputation for themselves that goes beyond tech specs. It's a name, a name that everyone knows. To a lot of people their is only Apple Iphone and Samsung, there is no IOS or Android, They don't know or even care to know. All they want is a phone, and since they don't know phones, they go with what everyone knows, which is Apple.

There's more to it then tech specs. Sure, us techies may know that there are Android phones that completely blow the Iphone out of the water but the average person doesn't know and doesn't care. All they want is a phone that works, and Apple has built a reputation that means just that.

You don't. iOS devices tend to be good for 3 years after they are released. 4 years is pushing it and 5 is troublesome.

Also you are comparing two completely different things to each other and that is making me pretty upset right now.

Again, you have to realize where mobile technology was just 5 years ago.........the iPad 3 was nothing! It has literally fractions of the power of todays devices and it was meant to run an OS that was a fraction as complex. Not to mention it is 32Bit

Try running Windows 10 on that 10 year old PC and tell me how it turns out.....

No. Those are 2 of the reasons why I love the iPhone, but there are many, many more reasons.

There are also apple only apps, apple customer support, longer software support on the OS side, and ease of use.

The CPU is comparable to an i3 laptop core, and I have it overclocked making it equivalent to an i5 laptop.

I know that the life expectancy for mobile devices is much less, but I believe apple's pricing is unjustifiable.

Or they don't care for specs. If you buy an iPhone, you know what to expect while Android UI is changed between every company that uses it.

I, for one, don't care for the "octa-core and 1440 screens" that some Androids tout since I can have a better experience at home without having to worry about the battery (on most Android phones) dying 3 hours before the day is over.

And I'm just going to be honest here, my PC can derp really hard sometimes for any number of things. I can always fix the issues as they are usually pretty minor. But I know that If I was not me, and just some user who did not posses my level of logical reasoning and troubleshooting skills, I would be ripping my hair out and wanting my money back.

That is something you just dont get with Macs or iPhones. Not at least in any large numbers, nothing is perfect after all.

I had a 2011 iMac for 5 years (it still works like a charm). I have had more issues with this PC than that Mac had in all its life. I still wouldnt leave my PC for a Mac though. I do defiantly want a MacBook sometime soon though.
