Need some cheering up? Dr. GoodBytes* has you covered with this video.

GoodBytes

Haha I saw this video earlier, hilarious. It always confuses me how people that live in areas where this happens every year still have a hard time figuring out what to do when they hit ice. Or that they should be properly prepared for the weather.

Can't really fault the buses, they have a route they have to go down, and it's not like you can evade hitting people as easily as a car.

Also I blame ABS, people don't brake correctly any more. You pump not press and hold sheesh ... That police officer should have known better.

What am I missing here?

Are you sure about that? I always thought it was compress and hold the brake. Not pump. Or was that sarcasm? :P

With out ABS you pump - with ABS you press and hold. Its was sarcasm because being spoiled by having ABS. lol.

Same here about tire chains, if you use them it has to be for a specific reason like the weather is really or your in a bad spot, maybe your a plow and then you have to remove them. No use on the highway.

Haha gotcha!

I remember seeing people trying to get up parkade ramps in the mall with snow chains on multiple times during one particularly bad winter... sparks flying everywhere. Some people just lack any kind of common sense!

Here you're allowed to use them on certain highways. In fact there are RCMP check points, and if you don't have chains and/or proper snow tires, they turn you around and send you home.
