yeah you have a pretty decent high end system. I would get a better PSU honestly, and also upgrade the wattage to at least 600-650 minimum wattages. Also if you are overclocking, you are probably at the boundry. Also what do you mean "RAM keeps getting burn?" Like you can smell smoke?

there's not very much "better" to be had than seasonic, maybe a 650 watt would be nice but seasonic is kinda known to be rock solid.

on topic: we kinda need more information than "my ram keeps getting burn" to have any idea what's going on.

There aren't really better PSU manufacturers out there than Seasonic.

He just needs to get a higher wattage PSU, definitely stick with Seasonic though.

they both have the good and the bad.

evga B series and corsair "green label" CX for example arent *ideal* to put it nicely :P

evga's G2 and corsair's RMx for exmple are great units.

Seasonic is a top notch OEM and makes stuff from good to excellent, EVGA and Corsair have both sourced PSUs from Seasonic for their high end.

EVGA and corsair have a lot of average and shit PSUs they sell like the

EVGA:

  • Not-certified (HEC)
  • Certified (HEC)
  • B (HEC)
  • B1/NEX-B (FSP)
  • BQ (HEC and Andyson)
  • G1/NEX-G (FSP)

Corsair

  • VS (HEC and CWT)
  • CX 430/500/600W (CWT).

How did you do that and what CPU?

Not going to lie, I have no idea. Broke a pin off of my CPU, still worked if I dropped in a pin. I was doing some sissy OC (Like 4.3Ghz on 1.3V. Nowhere near what the CPU could do before I broke off a pin. (4.5Ghz at 1.5V)). System shut off and wouldn't turn on. Clear CMOS did nothing. New PSU did nothing. Im going to RMA my motherboard and hope that was it

It was a AMD Fx-8320. So guess what im asking for for christmas? (A Z170 Motherboard)

I feel like there is some bias-ness, because I feel like EVGA and CORSAIR are on par as one of the most reputable companies.

Sure their high end PSUs are usually pretty good quality but I know Corsair won't be able to shake off the stigma caused by the "Green Label" CX series PSUs for a while. Can't say much about EVGA as I've only every used their GPUs but perhaps @STRMfrmXMN can provide more insight on it.

Corsair's green CX stigma was overdramatised by consumers. Yes, they're not particularly great PSUs but they're not as explosive as many made them out to be.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
