I have an old hp pc I want to upgrade with my gtx 760, but after clearing all graphics drivers only the stock little gpu that the HD desktop came with gives an image. I've had problems with it in the past, and I tried two different r7 260's who both didn't give a single signal to my hdmi AND vga screen. Is there any reason why? And how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance,

That13thGuy

In the bios you need to select the Dedicated GPU. WHen you removed the card, it set the default GPU to the Integrated one, you need to change that.

Are the fans on the GPU's spinning?

Thanks fans are spinning, yes.

I'll try to open bios but I remember it being pretty difficult cause I don't know what button to press.

It's Delete on my motherboard. For my old one it was F2. For my new one I can also press F10. Just try Delete and the F keys. With the display plugged into the iGPU, of course.

Aight so I got in the bios using the old gpu the pc came with, and turns out the Integrated video was disabled :/ can't find the option to choose dedicate gpu anywhere either... Pic for reference, although it's in Dutch "geïntegreerde video"  is integrated video and "uitgeschakeld" is disabled

Have you tried all of the PCI-E slots? The motherboard itself might be damaged. Try the GPUs in another PC.

My gpu worked fine once the drivers were installed, but I can't remember how I got them to install without the gpu in my pc.

Plug it in, but don't plug your monitors into it- install the drivers, turn off PC, put cables into graphics card. I honestly don't know what to do past that if it doesn't work.

How am I supposed to install drivers without plugging my screen?

Plug the screen into the iGPU. I really don't know, I haven't had this problem.
