Folding failed

I left my sister's computer on when I went to go to school and come back to see the CPU is still running but her 660 ti failed. What do I do?

Is it overclocked at all?

It's a MSI 660 ti Power Edition OC, but I left it at its stock speeds, would that still count as overclocked?

Could it be that the card overheated and stopped folding because of heat issues? Do you have good ventilation in your case?

As mgsstar mentioned - monitor temps on the card, make sure it isn't over heating. Then, to reset it, delete the GPU slot and re-add it. Sometimes that is all that is needed. For monitoring, you can use HWMonitor - http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

At 100% load the GPU is at 70 Celsius max.

Well, I was watching it and it keeps changing from a 14k point fold and a 4k point fold and its getting nowhere. What do I do?

ok, try this. Delete the slot - reboot. Re-install the NVidia drivers. Reboot. Now, uninstall FAH client. Yep, uninstall it. Reboot. Now, re-install the client. Try now.

I have had two system where the only thing to work was a re-install of the FAH client.

So far I'm waiting for my current 14k point fold to finish to see if it is going to fail or not but it hasn't changed between folds so I think that is getting somewhere.
