Mousepad virgin

maybethisnamewillwork

I have never used a mousepad, instead I've been using a smooth wooden table, but the problem is that the teflon pads under the mouse always wear out pretty quickly.
I use very high sensitivity on my Logitech MX Master mouse and I don't play any competitive fps games. I just want good durable mousepad that feels good.

Should I buy cloth or plastic mousepad and what brand/model?

cloth, as for brand it really doesn't matter, just find a mousepad you like at a price you like and buy it

You could use a piece of paper and it'd work fine lol, mousepads make very minimal difference. cloth would have a better feel on your hand/wrist when using it though so i'd go for that.

Rest of it comes down to what you think would look best, and what you can afford. Corsair and Razer make good pads though they can be expensive.

There was an extra large on in the most recent handy tech vid, think it was about $12 and linus said it was great.

Any cloth one would generally do. I have a custom one made by spreadshirt.com.

My desk is made of noble wood, it is very smooth yet offers decent friction, I have not used mouse pads in forever, frankly I even feel at least my C3TECH rather cheap mouse functions better directly on the wood than with mouse pads, I don't have issues even when playing CS:GO.

So, I do agree with you, good mouse pads, like razor, corsair and I'd add Kolke especially for the looks will be nice to have but depending on your mouse and desk they're likely not to be required at all.

in terms of tracking and feel i agree, there is really no much difference, i own a mousepad more to protect both the mouse and desk.

Ok thanks, I think I will buy Steelseries QCK mini and see if I can get used to it.

I have the mini and a suggestion, go for standard QCK. The only reason I got it is because I can put it in my laptop.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.
