sorry, legitimate, its only a small inconvenience to have to go through all my settings again, but that's totally fine since i do that anyway with every new device i get. i love optimizing things.

3:58, im confused. if i get this: https://cablemod.com/product/cablemod-widebeam-magnetic-rgb-led-strip-60cm/ where do i get the cable he is saying i do need to use. is that in here? https://cablemod.com/product/cablemod-widebeam-magnetic-rgb-led-kit-60cm/ so i would have to get one kit and one strip? except on the single strip one it says i dont need the kit if i have asus aura controlers, which i do. so do i then just plug the rgb strip straight into the motherboard?

derp nvm i can buy single strips, and dont need a kit. it says

Here’s what you get inside the package:

  • 1 x WideBeam Magnetic RGB LED Strip
  • 1 x ASUS® Compatibility Adapter
  • 2 x 4-pin Connectors

Judging by this:

  • 1 x WideBeam Magnetic RGB LED Strip
  • 1 x ASUS® Compatibility Adapter
  • 2 x 4-pin Connectors

You can use the 1st kit if you have an AURA header on your motherboard. If not, you'll need the second kit and the 1st would be an extension from the second.

im sure going to this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0153P9SEK/ref=psdc_1292116011_t2_B00V01C6M8

would make a difference: Read Speed: 2500MB/s, Write Speed: 1200MB/s

but it also costs way more.

also, these benchmarks show that m.2 is faster:

only by a few seconds, but of the two im comparing, the m.2 is only $20 more than the sata, also that would leave one more sata spot open for hdd's later, although that probably wont matter much xD

Dont cheap out on m.2. Thpse as sinthetic benchmarks. Sinthetic and real world have a differnece. In the real world, there will be no application that uses 1200mb speeds. Sinthetics jut tests the capability, but in the real world, those speeds jut dont happen

i also just thought of, if i were to go with a 2.5 inch sata ssd, would i need something to make it fit in the 3.5" bays?

Yes, unless you drill holes

Some mb have rgb headers, others dont. color rgb connects either to molex or oter connectors

a slight side note: i heard a rumor that the warrenty for the corsair h100i v2 includes that they would replace any and all parts damaged if it were to leak, but i cant seem to find such information anywhere. can anyone help me figure this out? cause i realize that them leaking is quite rare, but im still worried about it never the less. unless if yall have any other AIO's youd suggest.

Some say it covers it. I wouldn't know, but since their PSU covers all parts, the cooler probably does.

If it kills anythung as well, and there is reasonable proof, (cooler leakin oj gpu) corsair eill replace all parts destroyed by the leakage

Yeah, theyll replace anything that is broken because of their aio. With reasonable proof of course

Not activating Windows also disables DirectX. Literally required for almost every program. If hes spending that much on a rig he needs full windows.

you can run unlicensed windows, (8.1 or so, not 10), and then upgrade to 10, that will change an unlicnesed code into licensed

Are you sure those ram sticks are compatible with that particular motherboard?.

X99 is not friendly with every stick out there... even a single number in the model makes the difference between a happy boot and error 53.

i figured they would be. just to be sure, this is what ive got: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MD4nyf

i already ordered the parts so i hope they are compatible. they are both ddr4 quad channel. it supports up to 128, im only getting 26 rn and will go to 32 if i need to.and its only got a cas latency of 10 giving it the fastest response time available for the price.
