Posted November 28, 2016 In Adobe Photoshop CS5 there used to be no grey background; only the tools on the left side and layers on the right (and some more). Posted November 29, 2016 Select Window > Application Frame (towards the bottom) Also, under Preferences > Interface (Options) I highly recommend unchecking Open Documents as Tabs if you're like me and usually when I'm opening multiple documents, I want to use the quick selection and drag, or drag layers from one to the other.
