How to remove Photoshop Grey Background

In Adobe Photoshop CS5 there used to be no grey background; only the tools on the left side and layers on the right (and some more). But on CS6 there's this grey part that doesent let me see my desktop. Any idea how to change it?

Select Window > Application Frame (towards the bottom)

Also, under Preferences > Interface (Options) I highly recommend unchecking Open Documents as Tabs if you're like me and usually when I'm opening multiple documents, I want to use the quick selection and drag, or drag layers from one to the other.

Screenshots are with application frame checked and unchecked. The moose is my desktop - not a document, if you're wondering.
