960 and 1060 are both rated at the same power usage, so no need to upgrade to a higher watt PSU unless you want extra headroom for future upgrades.

Have you considered getting an SSD for the system and a few programs? I'm sure you can get a 120 GB for great price. I'd personally wouldn't go below 240 GB though, but just installing WIndows on an SSD is a night and day difference for the better.

Asus X99-A w/ BIOS 3402 | Intel i7 5820k OC @4.4GHz 1.28V w/ Noctua NH-U14S | 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 OC @2666MHz 12-14-14-28 | Asus Geforce GTX970 STRIX OC | EVGA 750 G2 750W | Samsung 850 Evo 1 TB | Windows 10 64-bit | Be-Quiet Silent Base 800 w/ Silent Wings | 2x Dell U2414H OC @72Hz w/ Display Port

Don't forget to invest in an Intel Tuning Plan if you're going to overvolt your K/X CPU

You might want to really upgrade that PSU and then after your GTX 1060, you might want to upgrade the CPU.

I have placed a bid on a 240gb SSD, I will upgrade my PSU to save me worrying about it in future.

The CPU is fine currently, Id decide to upgrade it when it becomes very outdated

If the PSU works with a GTX-960, it will work with a GTX-1060, which normally uses less power. (The power "spec" may be the same, but the 1060 actually uses less.)

Other upgrades:

An SSD, of course.

Zen.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

i5-6600, 16Gigs, ITX Corsair 250D, R9 390, 120Gig M.2 boot, 500Gig SATA SSD, no HDD
