Attempt to install Unbuntu Server gone south...

Hey guys!

I need some help so I tried to install Ubuntu Server 16.04.1 LTS and after it I rebooted as stated to do so without the boot disk in and it came to me it went to Grub Rescue.

I did look online for a solution for this. I did appear to come to this. http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/148041/recovering-from-grub-rescue-crash

After I did what it said when I get to the part to enter

grub rescue> insmod normal

It tells me there is no such partition.

Please help me as in I can't boot into anything to get rid of this.

Put this back in.

The easyiest thing to do now is restore you backups.

Told me to take out boot disk so it doesnt boot to installer again.

sometimes people get the EFI/legacy boot option wrong in BIOS. Sometime people install the EFI or boot partition to the wrong disk. its hard to tell what your problems is

If it keeps bringing up the installation or demo menu, you need to change boot settings. Here is how:

  1. Unplug your computer and plug it back in
  2. Power on
  3. Hit Esc (or whatever your computers BIOS key is)
  4. Look for a Boot Menu option
  5. Change it from your USB to Ubuntu
