Unless things change, Netflix 4K on PC is not worth bothering with as at the minimum, you need a generation of CPU's that as of this writing, is not currently sold (solely for DRM purposes as add in cards have had the decode capability for some time now). This is in addition to Windows 10 and Edge requirements.

Hopefully once 4k is more mainstream, it becomes available.

From the perspective of the content providers, they face the challenge of securing their video on a platform that offers said content providers very little control over. The PC allows the user to develop and run whatever software they desire, including recording software. This isn't the case on streaming boxes/sticks or consoles.

This leaves the only viable option of security to be hardware based (perhaps not dissimilar to Apple's Secure Enclave scheme), though even so, the software side of things may prove to be vulnerable in the future, depending on how it communicates with the hardware Drm unit.

honestly i wish there was a way to allow 4k content on chrome because i will never touch edge with a 300 foot stick, no matter how much they advertise it's better for battery than chrome. fuck edge.
