Mac Users only - FREE iWork / Aperture

MrSuperb

iWork is definitely not for free on old macs without this workaround  ;)

You might have had installed an old version of iWork at your workplace.

Yeah we did have iWork on them before the upgrade. That would make more sense :P Anyway 50Mb of iWork and Aperture done :D

hey those of you waiting 7 hours to download the aperture update, you can also get it from here https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/19717/apple-aperture

MU links to Apple ... you don't have to wait for the download to start, but rather for the download it self which is pretty much only limited by the speed of your internet connection ;)

whoops I misunderstood. I thought people meant that the Apple servers were slow. Didn't realize the link directed it back to Apple. .

Finally my Santa hat doesn't look out of place

I can CONFIRM that this works for both iWork 09 and Aperture. Thanks, sir!

P.S. I am under 10.9 and I'm pretty sure this trick works only for 10.9

I knew this from day one but was hesitant if apple would honor it and allow it.

By reading this thread :P

For aperture you can also download the update

http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1657

and extract the .app file with Pacifist (a shareware app).

The copy the .app into you application folder.
