i was wondering if the i5 6400 will bottleneck the gtx 1060 msi 6gb?

it's a good match, the i5-6500 is worth it.

I5 6400 does in fact... Not bottleneck an RX470 (OC surpassing RX480) in all titles (21 games installed from past 5 years) except Witcher 3's city environments, which is heavy on most if not everyone in that area.

Even GTA5 had high usage but the game performance was not affected ie: GPU usage was normal at 99% 100%

Cant speak for GTX1060, have not built a system with one yet.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I'd say it wouldn't bottleneck, but Intel clocked the 6400 so low it doesn't make it a worthy investment compared to a 6500.  It's like a 15% boost for $20.

so only in the witcher i will see the drop of performance?
