Whats the best widescreen gaming monitor to buy right now?

Im trying to build a new pc for first time ever,

Im interested in this display

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01A9EN4YU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

on the details it says that

Computer Memory Type DDR3 SDRAM

What does this mean, the pc that im building will have ddr4 ram, does this mean this display wont be compatible with the pc?

Maybe this is a silly question but im so noob just trying to find out if its all compatible before i buy it ;D

hmm never heard of ram inside monitor

You'd be surprised of how many devices we use that have RAM in them.

However, it being listed on the monitor is extremely bizarre, since it doesn't matter for a monitor.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Oh ok so 100% that dd3 means nothing for that monitor?

It doesn't mean anything for you or me. It's just what the monitor uses, which is 10,000% irrelevant, unless one wants to mod it.

hmm, what would the advantages be?

As far as i researched they perform exactly the same in terms of gaming, and its almost £100 more expensive, what do you think?

You don't need a 6700K for gaming, you are fine with the 6600K, actually, if you don't intend to overclock, you can go for a 6600 non-K and save a few bucks.

The only thing I don't love in this build is the CPU heat sink, I particularly don't like those big heat sinks, I'd go for a 120mm water cooler instead (specially if you want to oveclock). Also, buy a new case fan, your case only includes one (usually bad), I'd buy a ML140 and put it on the rear, exhausting air.

Next time, use https://pcpartpicker.com/ it tells you for any compatibility issues and make things better for us to look for

Yea i was looking at those ml140, so do you recon I should change the front fan as well into something better?, I dont mind spending a tiny bit more, just want to get good airflow for the case.

And idk its my first time building so im not considering the water cooling, Do you recon it would give better temperatures than that massive heatsink?

And then then what about the noises of water cooling i red that they can be quite loud the fans+the water itself, How would it compare soundwise idk.

While it is true you dont NEED a 6700k for gaming there is no denying that the 6700k has a very real advantage over it and basically every other processor in terms on gaming performance. Also with games such as GTA V and Battlefield 1, we are seeing that more cores/threads are starting to matter. I would take a 6700k over a 6600k any day of the week.

It's completely necessary to change the front fan, it's just good, because usually, the included fan is very bad.

About the water cooling, I have never had a water cooling system since my 4460 doesn't need more than the stock cooler, but I think heat sinks are very ugly. About noise, yes, it might be louder, but I don't think it will be something very noticeable if you get some quiet fans

If he only games, and doesn't plan to upgrade the GPU without needing to upgrade the CPU, there's not much reason to go with the 6700K unless the price is very close to the 6600K
