General thoughts on my upcoming build please :)

Lingrah

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/PBTgzM

(I am trying to stay under $1000)

I have 2 SSDs selected because I don't know which one I want. Which do you guys recommend, or any alternatives about the same price point? Any ways to slim the price of this without hurting performance to much would be nice. Any input is appreciated.

Thank you :)

Edit: also I forgot to mention, what CPU cooler should I get. I would like to stay quite on a small overclock if possible

The Cryorig H7 is a great cooler and outperforms most others at it price point. Also, the BX200 is a fair amount better than the SP550.

a sandisk m.2 ssd is also an option to look into - if you want the ssd to play a role aesthetically, go with a sata ssd, but if you want speed, get a sandisk m.2

Black drives can get quite loud. Seagate drives are just as reliable as WD drives. Press the little [BB] button for the list.

The drive @Jed M recommended gives you 35GB more storage (covers Windows), for a mere $9 more. Why wouldn't you want it?

Also, don't get a 120GB SSD. The 240GB and up deliver better performance.

I disagree because only 1 out of the 5 seagate drives I've owned have failed. 1 failed because I found it in a box and it had 450k~ power on hours.

Thank you, I have noticed my Black drive is a little louder then I would like. How about performance though. I notice the warranty Is SIGNIFICANTLY less then western digital's. Do you think I should be concerned at all about that?

I think not because if treated well and you don't get a defective one, it'll run for many years to come.

I just checked and It looks like it has slightly slower read and write speeds. I suppose which drive I get will be based off my final price. Thank you for your help :)
