Do you think BF1 should have been released on November 11th (`Rememberance Day/Veterans day)

I think this would have been a perfect day as November 11th was primarily to remember those from the First World War (now used for every war around the world) 

also it will give titanfall 2 more breathing room with more day 1 sales if thus was the case as it came out 7 days after BF1

Definitely not. A game that people play to have fun killing each other released on the day people remember those who fought and died in the actual war seems like a terrible idea. Regardless of intentions, it would seem inappropriate to me.

It is a game about war. Yes it might be good for advertising releasing it today, but the backlash about it being released today would be huge.

As much as I enjoy BF1 I don't think it has the maturity or thematic coherence for that and I would've found it a bit tacky and awkward. Maybe if EA had coupled the release with some substantial gesture toward the veterans community, such as partnering with/donating money to veterans' groups. But as it is, BF1 is just an entertainment product, and I don't think this would've been a great way to go about it promoting it.

Even if it were to be released today how would people get it? All stores are closed unless you get it online.

When thinking how especially American media/crowd reacts to some subjects and making entertainment out of them, not really good idea. Even when it has been so long ago, and when it is about WWI and not WWII.

 

On a related side note. Many Finnish players still celebrate our Indepence Day Dec 6th by playing Winter War mod for original BF1942. So when wives and gfs are watching Independence Day reception at presidents "castle", men are playing some BF.
