So, I'm going to be building a new computer soon.

The main specs are

i7 4790k (or 6700k not sure, leave your thoughts on this, thought I've read there's practically no difference.)

cryorig h7 ( I've read it will keep things cool, and allow for dem overlocks if I wanted.)

16gb of ram. ( will help as I will stream and record frequently.)

1070( beast of a card. not much to say.)

450d case

850 watt power supply  ( left over from my last build )

Full build------ vvvv

I plan to stream minecraft, call of duty, and bf4, as well as lighter to run games.

Let me know if you have any suggestions!

The 6700k is cheaper and with that you can use DDR4.

I would also throw in a 1TB WD Blue for more games and such. The SSD WILL fill up.

If you can afford it I'd suggest a WD 1TB Black drive. I have that as well as a 500GB WD Blue drive and my black drive is so much faster

System: i7 4790K, Hyper 212 EVO, 16 GB Crucial Ballistix, GTX 1070 Super clocked, MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition, Corsair RM 750, Corsair 750D (with 2 additional 140mm NZXT fans up top for exhaust.)

I'd go 6700k, I don't see a reason in paying that much for older tech.

Now if you're getting it used or something for considerably less than the listed price, that's a different story.

If you go Skylake you need DDR4; you'd have to change that.

Rest looks good, welcome to the forum!

Nah, if he only installs 5 or 6 games at a time he has more than enough space.
