I dont know alot No, it's not mechanical - "Blue"/"red"/"brown" switches refer to mechanical keys produced by CHERRY, a keyboard component manufacturer. They only make components for mechanical keyboards. If you like the keyboard though, that's all that matters. But the terms Cherry MX Blue or whatever, do not apply to it.
