Is it possible to switch a ddr3 ram heat spreader to a ddr4 I recently got a new PC and everything is white theme'd and looks really well together ($1000+ build) but my ram looks very ugly and just so out of place, is it possible to take my heat spreader from my ram computer and put it on my new one? Im thinking of spray painting the heat spreader too.

If they are removable I think you can. I saw Linus unscrew some. Then add some that fit his color scheme.

I never understood why people care about how their computer looks on the inside. Like I dont understand people who drive lowered vehicles. Its not very praticle.

It's doable for sure as long as the PCB layout is the same size and dimension, however why not just purchase RAM that meets your needs if you don't already have them.

id get new ram and sell the your current set or painting, painting them could turn out great or super shit

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Yea they're the same size, do you think this is safe?  I didnt really have a specific color scheme that I was thinking about when I first was buying the parts and since the ram was on sale I just bought it

Switching them isn't a problem at all as long as they fit and the thermal pads are still usable or replaced if needed. If you wanted to paint it then it would be a good time to do so as you are going to be taking them off the PCB. However as mentioned it may be a good idea to sell the current RAM and use that to purchase one that is of the correct color scheme.
