I just dbranded my Pixel XL

So many people flipped out over the look of the glass back on the Google Pixel phones.  I was more bothered by the Verizon exclusive blue color.  Then once I got mine I realized I was happy I got the black as it was the only option to have a black front face.  Now I am fighting the powers with a blue dbrand skin.  Seen below.

It was surprisingly easy to install and feels great.  If you are wondering why I installed a fancy skin if I was just going to put it in a case the answer is: Have you ever used one of these cases? Do you know how much grit and grime gets in there? I already had a few scratches on the back glass just from a few weeks of use.  This skin protects the phone and fits in under the case just fine. Plus it's a really cool blue color.

How hard was the skin to install? I've always wondered if they're a real bitch or not. I don't have much patience when it comes to that kind of thing.

Why use a case that gets a lot of dirt underneath? I've always gotten cases, but haven't had that problem in years.

Verus makes some excellent cases.

It was easy: https://dbrand.com/skins/how-to-apply/pixel-xl

It's cut so precisely that you just have to like up the two speaker grills at the bottom of my phone and viola perfect alignment.

I wasn't sure about the front skin but it adds soo much grip when holding the phone by the chin.  I would also recommend the front skin for those who have a white bezel ans black is so much better for viewing.  It does not make it look cheap like some have insinuated, especially if you drop the thing cause it's too slippery and have a busted corner or cracked display.

I was in the same boat; it was this or the moto z for me.  I'm glad I went with this.  The battery is great I could get two days out of it if I was pushing it or in my case one day filled with two movies ours of games and browsing the web etc.  This is also the smoothest I have ever seen Android run just plain fast.  I switched from Ting and Tmobile to the Google Fi network when I got this.  Yes I am paying a bit more but man I have 4g every where I go now.  The Sprint Tmobile combo is worth ever penny extra I'm paying for Fi.  The only con I have been able to come up with is the built in speaker.  I feel like they should have made the entire phone the same thickness forget the stupid taper and put a good frond facing speaker in it.  I was not able to share a youtube video with some friends in a crowded restaurant as the speaker could not overpower the noise from the surroundings.  That said 90% of my listening is done with IEMs so it's not a deal beaker for me.  If you need to share music and movies go for the moto z and get the speaker mod for it.

Yea I can't decide whether the moto z is useful or a gimmick, tho it seems like the battery will be bad but who knows. Although I think every battery will be bad since I'm coming from a droid turbo which has a 3900 millamp but it also has a 1440p screen which drains more battery. So you think it would be a better choice than the s7? I was thinking of getting like a black and white carbon fiber skin mix.

The pixel xl is rocking a 3450mah battery combined with its more efficient processor I think it's a toss up.  Like you mentioned the regular Pixel has a 1080p display and the same sweet processor so maybe it would be fine I can't say as it's very subjective.  Definitely get a skin if you get the S7 or S7 edge that glass back is so slippery.
