Deluze 2.0: Black/White/Orange themed Switch 810, i7-3820, 7970, water cooled

ktmfinx

Hi all!

A few weeks ago I completed upgrading my v1.0 rig from air to water cooling.

Orange is one of my favourite colours, and I love implementing these schemes into builds.

Enjoy!

A few notes:

I bought a roll of orange LED strips and modded them into the top compartment. I wired these strips to a custom button placed on the rear of my case, seen

here: http://i.imgur.com/Q2Yjh.jpg

and here: http://i.imgur.com/xGS01A3.jpg

Around the window is a White NZXT 2m strip.

I also applied black sleeving to any cables that looked out of place to make them blend in and achieve a cleaner look.

@Linus: Thanks for your inspiration. How do you deal with the caps lock / tilde combined button on that Acer Aspire?! It drives me nuts.

@Slick: You still owe me the second half of co-op Portal 2 ;)

Thanks all!

Just amazing mate. Love orange myself, but have never seen an orange themed build, except this one! Looks great...

Looks really good, but being nitpicky there's 2 things I don't really like. I dislike the way the PCI-E cables are routed and the incline on the 7970 bothers me. Other than that it's awesome, the Switch 810 is one of my favourite cases, now you just need to fill it up with another 7970!

Thanks for your criticism!

In my v1.0 build, I tried routing the PCIe cables the other way as shown here: http://i.imgur.com/YSqhh.jpg

I didn't like them routed that way. I think the current way looks cleaner.

The GPU sag is something I can't fix right now without sacrificing aesthetics. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Good work. I love the look of those Gigabyte X79 boards. really clean tubing.
Cheers! Yeah, I love all-grey boards. The only choices I had were Gigabyte X79 or a Sabertooth, which are a bit overpriced for what they offer. I was thinking of having a right angled fitting coming out of my GPU block instead of that 45 degree fitting.. thoughts?
